Starting with the August 2017 election, you will be asked for a government-issued photo I.D. If you don’t have one, get one free at any Missouri driver license office, and do it early. You will need proof of name, date and place of birth, address, Social Security number. If registered, you can also vote without the photo I.D. by signing a statement and showing another form of I.D. or by voting a provisional ballot. Above applies to in-person voting. For more info: 866-868-3245 (toll free) or email: showit2vote@sos.mo.gov. Don’t let the new law prevent you from voting—every citizen’s right and duty.
