What do you think people did over 2000 years ago when they got sick? There were no pharmaceuticals like we have now... Remember "conventional" medicine has only been around for a co...

Blood Donation Fun Facts

One pint of whole blood—the most common form of donation—can save up to three lives. Someone needs blood every two seconds. Less than 10 percent of the eligible U.S. population donates annually. There is no substitute for human blood. One in seven people entering a hospital needs blood. Females receive 53 percent of blood transfusions; males receive 47 percent. One unit of blood can be separated into several components: red blood cells, plasma and platelets. Fourteen tests (11 for infectious diseases) are performed on each unit of donated blood. Healthy adults who are 16 years old and weight at ...

A relationship with the Lord,” he adds, “entails being sent out into the world as prophets of his word and witnesses of his love.”  Even if at times when “we are conscious of our weaknesses and tempted to discouragement”, Pope Francis underlines, “we need to t...
