Rejoice

You’ve spent Christmas season after Christmas season...Exhausted. If we asked you what God wants this Advent season, what would you say?

  • Perfect prayer time for hours each day
  • Volunteering to help with Advent wreath making
  • Planning a gathering for all the people you love.
  • Adding more to your plate to help others. Wrong!

Though these are good things, this is not the root of what God wants.

More than anything, He wants your heart. He wants to be close to you. And all these other good things will flow from your relationship with Him.

He doesn’t want more from you; He wants more for you.

This year can be different.

This Advent, open your heart to the peace and joy of the season as you prepare for the coming of Jesus at Christmas.

This year, journey through Advent with Fr. Mark Toups in our daily Advent meditation journal: Rejoice! An Advent Pilgrimage Into the Heart of Scripture.

We’ll meet every Friday in the Grand Hall right after morning Mass, beginning November 28 and ending December 19.

This year, as we journey through Advent with Rejoice! An Advent Pilgrimage Into the Heart of Scripture, we'll learn about the places, people, and events that shaped the story of the very first Advent and shape our own lives today.

Rejoice! will help you open your heart to the peace and joy of the Advent season as you prepare for the coming of Jesus this Christmas. We look forward to journeying with you.

All adults are welcome. Bring your friends from other parishes as well. The $12 charge includes the journal and all videos. This series is presented by Ascension Press and features Fr. Mark Toups, who was the author of the Oremus series we had in the past. Come join us!
