Wednesday, Jan. 22nd, is the 47th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion on demand in the U.S. A number of local activities are scheduled to commemorate this tragic decision and assault on innocent human life.
Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children
This Wednesday, January 22, the Church in the United States observes the annual “Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children.” This day is set aside to pray for the legal protection of human life and to do penance for the violations to human dignity through abortion. Candlelight Vigil in Washington MO - January 22
The East Central Area-Missouri Right to Life Chapter is holding its annual candlelight vigil from 5 to 6pm on Wednesday, Jan. 22nd, at the corner of Fifth and Jefferson in Washington Mo. Everyone is invited to participate. Those participating are asked to bring a flashlight or a candle.

2020 Young Adult Pro-Life Holy Hour - January 23 at the Cathedral
Can’t make the DC March for Life this year but still want to take a stand for life? Then join young adults (19-39) throughout the archdiocese to pray for an end to abortion and promote a greater respect for all human life. This annual archdiocesan event, co-sponsored by the Office of Young Adult Ministry and Respect Life Apostolate, will be held on Thursday, January 23 at 6pm at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, Dinner and fellowship start in Boland Hall at 6pm followed by Adoration, the Rosary, and an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation at the Cathedral. Then return to Boland Hall to enjoy coffee and dessert while listening to a dynamic pro-life speaker!
