SCOUTING FOR FOOD AND ARCHDIOCESE

EMERGENCY FOOD DRIVE

The Archdiocese is requesting parishioners to consider increasing their food donations to the Scouting for Food Program this year due to the increase in demand for food caused by the uncertainty of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and other government program’s. Our food pantry has seen an uptick in families recently seeking food support and anticipates this trend to continue. IHM scouting for food bags will be distributed the weekend of November 15th after all the masses and food collected on November 22 at church. A shopping basket will be in the Narthex to accept donations ……A list of the food items most needed is in the pews and will also be handed out after Mass by members of the Boy Scouts and SVDP after masses the weekends of Nov 8 and 15.
